Sandwell Local Plan - Call for Sites Form
Sandwell MBC is inviting landowners, developers and other bodies to put forward sites in Sandwell to be considered as part of the Sandwell Local Plan 2 (2026-2044). The call for sites allows us to understand what options we have for different types of development. This is a land availability exercise, and it does not necessarily mean that submitted sites are considered suitable for development.
This form asks you to provide details about the site including location, ownership, current use, access, constraints, services and possible future use. Please provide as much information as possible to ensure your site proposal can be carefully considered. You can submit as many sites as you wish by completing a separate form and site boundary for each site. Call for Sites submissions should only be made for sites within (partially) Sandwell.
Please note that sites submitted through previous calls will not automatically be carried forward and must be resubmitted here for consideration as part of this process.
The council is accepting site submissions as part of this Call for Sites process between 27th July and 30th October 2026.
Submitting a Site
It should take around 15 minutes to complete the information for each site you wish to put forward, depending on the amount of detail you wish to provide.

If you are acting on behalf of someone else, you will be asked to provide their details. In line with planning law, all responses will be available for public inspection.
The information you provide will be used to help prepare the Sandwell Local Plan 2 (2026-2044) and will be shared with other employees or agencies (such as the Planning Inspectorate) who may be involved with the process. Please note that the local authority is obliged to make the Call for Sites submissions available for public inspection. This means that, except for addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses and signatures, your comments and any other personal details that you provide will be publicly available. We therefore encourage you to avoid providing sensitive / personal information that you do not wish to be published.

Site Boundary
The boundary of your site must be mapped within the form. This is a simple process and the boundaries of all mapped sites will be visible to the public.
If you would like us to consider other documents, such as draft layout plans, masterplans or design statements, please attach these to your site submission within the form.

Data Protection
The personal information you provide on this form will be processed in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 2018. The information you provide will only be used for the purposes of the preparation of the Local Plan as required by the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 and The Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2026, and may be used by the council to contact you if necessary regarding your submission. Your name, organisation and comments will be made available for public inspection when displaying and reporting the outcome of the statutory consultation stage and cannot be treated as confidential. You will not be asked for any unnecessary information and in order to protect personal data, we will not publish signatures, telephone numbers, addresses or email addresses on the internet.
Your details will be kept until the Local Plan is adopted plus a further ten years to evidence that a fair and transparent process has been followed. Processing is kept to a minimum and data will only be processed in accordance with the law. When other agencies are involved in Local Plan preparation, we may need to share details about you to enable us to work together for your benefit. Information will only be shared with third parties if they have genuine and lawful need for it. Information shared on this basis will not be reused for any other purpose. We will take all reasonable precautions to protect your personal data from accidental or deliberate loss or unauthorised disclosure.
